Prawaas (Marathi: प्रवास) is a Marathi-language drama clip directed by Shashank Udapurkar, produced under banner of Om Chhangani Films.

Padmini Kolhapure born 1 November is an Indian actress and singer, who primarily works in Hindi and Marathi films. In a career spanning over four decades, she has worked in over 75 films and has received several accolades including three Filmfare Awards. She began her acting career in at the age of seven, and her early works include Zindagi and Dream Girl She had her breakthrough with the production Satyam Shivam Sundaramstarring as the young Roopa.

The film stars Ashok Saraf, Padmini Kolhapure, Shashank Udapurkar, Vikram Gokhale and Rajit Kapur.

The first scene was filmed on 15 October , and the principal photography began on 19 October in Mumbai. Filming ended on 16 April and it was released on 14 February [1][2]

Prawas is the journey of an elderly couple, Abhijat Inamdar (Ashok Saraf)) and Lata Inamdar (Padmini Kolhapure).

Every person has a certain hour to live in this nature and it is important to understand how one lives one's life. Abhijat also knows that he has a certain hour to live his life and nobody is immortal. He realises that there are so many people who need help and he starts helping them in their problems which gives him confidence in himself, a excellent sense of satisfaction and distinct identity.

Abhijat teaches us a very important lesson that there are two most important days in our life, one the day we are born and the next when we spot why?

Presently his age is 59 years. Shivangi Kolhapure is the wife of famous thespian Shakti Kapoor. Shivangi Kolhapure made her debut as a youngster singer when she was only 9 years old. Due to absence, the filmmaker selected Shivangi Kolhapure as the actress for the film Kismat.

The production was released on 14 February [3] It was screened at 51st International Film Festival of India in January [4] and will also be screened at 52nd International Film Festival of India in 'Indian Panorama' section, feature film category.[5]

The music was composed by Salim–Sulaiman with lyrics written by Guru Thakur.

The songs are sung by Sonu Nigam, Hariharan, Sukhwinder Singh and Shreya Ghoshal.
